Punctum Photography

Photography, since its origins, has been used to immortalize a moment, which can be remembered again, always with different details, each time the photo is viewed.

Punctum was born from a young, independent photographer eager to grow and make a name in this profession.
The chosen name, "Punctum," is a widely used concept in photographic composition, introduced by Roland Barthes, who defines punctum as:

“An arrow, which strikes and pierces me [...]”

The punctum of a photo is that part of it, whether accidental or intentional, that strikes me, awakens me (but also disturbs, even pains me). “The photograph that touches me does not die.”

Known for their remarkable memory, elephants inspired the creation of the brand.
